    Frankenstein Leads Netflix Films in 2026 BAFTA Nominations

    Steve, Train Dreams, and The Perfect Neighbor also received nominations.

BAFTA’s 2026 film nominations are out and the diverse slate reflects a year of memorable cinema. Guillermo del Toro’s thoughtfully crafted Frankenstein is nominated for eight awards, including actor Jacob Elordi for his performance as the Creature and several talented artisans in below the line categories.

Tim Mielants’ Steve is nominated for Outstanding British Film, while Clint Bentley’s Train Dreams is recognized for Adolpho Veloso’s artful cinematography

In the documentary category, Geeta Gandbhir’s The Perfect Neighbor, Petra Costa’s Apocalypse in the Tropics, and Laura Poitras and Mark Obenhaus’ Cover-Up are all nominees.
